Treatment Guidance
Pre-treatment
Before the treatment, skin care professionals should assess patients’ suitability for treatment and inform the indications, precautions, warnings, and potential side effects.
According to the depth of injection and the administered quantity, skincare professionals can use a linear threading technique, a serial puncture technique, or a combination of the two at the physicians’ discretion.
Treatment procedure
- Allurépic® Dermal Fillers should be used after indoor temperature balance.
- Local analgesia (ice, topical analgesics, local infiltration, and/or nerve block with 1% lidocaine solution) is provided before treatment at the discretion of the skin care professional.
- Before injection, press the rod carefully until a tiny droplet is visible at the tip of the needle. Inject Allurépic® Dermal Fillers while pulling the needle backward slowly, and stop injecting just before the needle is pulled out from the skin to prevent material from leaking out from the injection site.
- Once the injection is completed, the injection site is manually massaged to allow Allurépic® Dermal Fillers to conform to the contours of the adjacent tissues.
- After injection, if the treated area is swollen, patients can apply melting ice on the site for a short period.
Mode of action
After injection, Allurépic® Dermal Fillers integrates into the tissue naturally and acts by adding volume to dermal tissue, thereby restoring wrinkles and folds to the desired correction.
Assembly of the needle to the syringe
It is important to assemble the needle correctly to use the Allurépic® Dermal Fillers safely.
Operation steps:
- Unscrew the tip cap of the syringe carefully.
- Peel sealed cover off the wider part of the needle shield carefully.
- Take a grip on the narrow part of the needle shield and mount the needle on the Luer-lock.
- Take a firm grip on the wider part of the needle shield and turn it a quarter of a turn.
- Pull off the needle shield to expose the needle.
Storage
Allurépic® Dermal Fillers have to be stored between 2-25°C in a dry place and should be protected from sunlight, heat, and frost.

What can injectable hyaluronic acid treat?
Injectable hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a popular aging and skin rejuvenation treatment. It can restore and enhance specific areas while improving skin quality. It is commonly employed for the following purposes:
- Rejuvenating and hydrating the skin on the face, neck, and hands.
- Treating and improving the appearance of injury and acne scars.
- Enhancing the shape of cheeks, chin, and nose.
- Adding volume and definition to the lips.
- Correcting fine lines and wrinkles.
- Reducing the signs of skin aging, such as wrinkles and sagging.
How is the injection performed, and how long does it take?
The injection procedure for hyaluronic acid can vary based on the practitioner’s approach and the patient’s treatment plan. However, the general steps include:
- Cleansing the treatment areas with an antibacterial solution.
- Using a topical or injectable anesthetic in sensitive areas to minimize discomfort (some dermal fillers contain lidocaine).
- Injection of hyaluronic acid into the skin using a fine needle through a series of small injections.
- Massage the treated area to distribute the injected hyaluronic acid evenly.
The duration of the treatment can range from 20 to 60 minutes, depending on your specific treatment plan.
What is the recovery time?
Hyaluronic acid treatments generally involve minimal downtime. In most cases, patients can resume their daily routines immediately after the procedure. Common side effects may include temporary redness, swelling, and bruising, which typically subside within a few days.
Who can administer hyaluronic acid dermal fillers?
The authority to administer hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can vary by jurisdiction, so it’s essential to check with your local health authorities. In general, only registered skincare professionals are permitted to perform these injections. In some regions, registered nurses may also be authorized to administer them, but in many areas, only trained physicians, dermatologists, or plastic surgeons are allowed to do so.
What are the potential side effects of hyaluronic acid injection?
Hyaluronic acid injections can lead to potential immediate or delayed side effects, including:
- Inflammatory reactions include redness, swelling, itching, pain, and tenderness at the injection site.
- Induration (hardening of the skin) or the formation of nodules at the injection site.
- Poor filling results due to improper injection technique.
- Delayed or immediate hypersensitivity, abscess formation, and glabellar necrosis (though rare).
- Hematomas (collection of blood under the skin).
It is recommended to seek immediate medical attention if these reactions persist for over a week. These reactions typically occur immediately or 1-2 weeks after the injection, are usually mild to moderate, and last about two weeks. Patients experiencing such reactions should contact their physicians promptly. Treatment should be avoided for patients with multiple allergic reactions.
